Roman Kemp reveals Kate Middleton’s polite move

British TV host Roman Kemp recalled the day Kate Middleton visited his home.

The radio host recounted the story of how the princess made a polite gesture when she visited his family home, as per The Sun.

The Princess of Wales was polite enough to follow the “no shoes” rule of Roman’s family home.

Roman is the son of pop stars Martin Kemp and Shirlie Holliman, who released a short film with the Princess of Wales in February 2023.

The film was dedicated to discuss mental health for her Shaping Us campaign.

Speaking to the outlet, Roman said it was “just me and her” on a preliminary Zoom call to discuss a mental health project.

On the call Roman suggested that his parents’ house was the perfect spot to film their chat.

“She asked whether we could do the filming at my house. I was like, ‘My parents' house is much nicer; let’s do it there,'”, he said.

Recalling his parents’ reaction, he said “So my mum raced out and got a load of nice things in, and suddenly the future queen is having tea and biscuits with her and my dad!”

Speaking of Kate’s gesture, Roman said “I remember when she arrived, she could see everyone else had taken their shoes off, so she offered to take hers off.”

The host revealed tha later Kate also sent him a thank-you note for the gift they sent her home with.
