Bill Skarsgard, who plays Pennywise, shocked fans as he sat down to turn in to his infamous villain but there is a small change in his terrifying look.
In a new video shared by HBO’s official Instagram account, Bill was seen getting a makeover for his iconic horror series.
The final look is being dubbed as the “scariest version” of Pennywise yet where a fan noticed a major change from its predecessors. Instead of a messy wig, Bill was given a neat hairdo.
The fan noted in the comment section: “Is it me or the hair looks kinda different from the movies ?” to which another revealed: “Andy [Muschietti] wanted a more vintage looking style.”
Towards the end of the clip, Bill is captured giving his horror smile that has been signature to the actor and the character in general.
The original movie came out in 2017 which became a huge box office success, collecting $704 million globally against a budget of $35 million.
A successor to this was released, titled It Chapter Two, after two years which continued the legacy of the first part.
The series It: Welcome to Derry premiered on HBO with its first episode airing on October 26, 2025 and the most recent one on November 23, 2025.
