Heather Tom makes shocking comment on 'Bold and the Beautiful'

The Bold and the Beautiful has once again sparked debate on controversial storyline.

In the new plot, Lisa Yamada (Luna Nozawa), being obsessed with Will Spencer (Crew Morrow), had sex with him pretending to be his girlfriend while he was intoxicated, resulting in her pregnancy.

The audience expressed that the show had failed to address the incident as rape or sexual assault.

Heather portrays Will’s mom Katie Logan and is the writer and director of the show.

Addressing the People, the 50-year-old shared her belief on the matter, "To be honest, if it were my son, I would view what happened as an issue of consent and that there wasn't much consent happening in that instance. “

The Deadly Whispers actress declared, “so yeah, I would view it as a sexual assault."

James Achor’s wife further mentioned that Katie eventually concluded her son was assaulted and used that specific language, despite not initially starting with that term.

The mother of one added, "But I think that for me personally, as a person, as a woman, as a mother, consent is very important to me."

She continued that she had talked about consent with her son from the very beginning.

"It's something that me, growing up, it was not necessarily at the forefront of how we were raised and how society saw it and how people spoke about things."

Heather emphasized again, "for me it is very important . . . I use this terminology with my child, and I think that it definitely is not a gender-conditional thing."
