American actress Selma Blair has opened up about her health battle.
The actress revealed she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis for more than seven years.
On November 22, the actress sat down with Stellar for a vulnerable interview.
She admitted she has been living relapse-free for a “couple of years”.
Multiple Sclerosis is an auto-immune disease of the central nervous system. It can cause numbness, weakness, trouble walking, vision changes and other symptoms.
Speaking of her recovery, Selma said “That, of course, means the world to me that I’m not, at this moment, accumulating more damage in my brain. I have also made a lot of strides with the vibe of neuroplasticity.”
“I’m very, very lucky. Everyone’s experience with MS is different.”, she added.
In the past years, Selma has pulled away from acting despite giving major hits like Legally Blonde and Cruel Intentions.
She is more focused on her business in investing and skincare.
The actress is also a mother to her only son Arthur Saint, who was born in 2011.
