Meghan Markle gets blasted for 'cosplaying' Diana

Even after 28 years of Diana’s death, she is still considered a style icon.

Meghan Markle did an exclusive cover story for Harper’s Bazaar which has garnered major attention.

The Duchess of Sussex did a photoshoot with the outlet which is being compared to her husband Prince Harry’s mother, late Diana.

People were quick to draw comparisons between the pictures of Meghan, clicked by Malick Bodian, and Diana.

In one picture, Meghan is photographed dressed in a white top and black pants while seated on the floor with her legs crossed which bears striking resemblance with Diana’s shoot she did with French photographer Patrick Demarchelier.

Meghan is seen dressed in an asymmetrical red dress, which is similar to the late princess’ photoshoot.

One commentator wrote on X “she’s just trying, bless her heart”.

Another criticised Meghan for “cosplaying” Diana saying “Nothing new here. Her entire life is cosplaying other people”.

The 44-year-old has expressed her admiration for her late mother-in-law saying “I wish I could have met her.”
