Kanye West, now known as Ye, faces another career setback amidst ongoing controversies with the rapper.

The 48-year-old songwriter was building the hype around his concert in Brazil for a long time, only to receive the news of the authorities cancelling it.

The show was supposed to take place on November 29, 2025, in São Paulo, Brazil. The Bully singer's first announcement came on July 1 with an Instagram post from his official account, asking fans to pre-register.

After the Grammy-winner's announcement, fans were eager to see him lead the show in Brazil, but their happiness quickly turned sour after they were kept waiting with no further updates.

Fans' doubts about his appearance became clearer when the mayor of São Paulo announced the inability to provide a public space to hold the show in the city.

Moreover, the São Paulo State Public Prosecutor’s Office issued a warning for the controversy-laced star, saying Ye can get arrested for making chaotic comments, supporting and promoting Nazism during his performances.

With both announcements, chaos erupted and led fans to Ye’s comment section, requesting him not to cancel the much-anticipated show, only to receive a disheartening update.

The organiser of the show finally came to the fore and cleared their intentions on November 20, declaring that the show had already been cancelled due to the unavailability of a suitable venue.

The announcement from the organisers left fans disappointed and frustrated, looking for refunds on their already purchased tickets.
