Dwayen Johnson and Catherine Laga’aia stars in Disney’s live-action version of the famous animated movie, Moana.

The adventure film, Moana, directed by John Musker and Ron Clements was a hit project which gained 95% certified score on Rotten Tomatoes and was widely known for its song, How Far I’ll Go.

The teaser for the upcoming real-action film, which is currently number one on movies trending chart was released on November 17, 2025.

Within its first 24 hours after the release, the teaser had already broken records as it stood on second position with the title, “most-viewed trailer“ with first still being the Lion King.

The trailer, which is only 59 seconds long, had Moana’s fans in a frenzy as they didn’t know how to react to the news of a live-action remake.

The fans wondered if the non-animated version was needed because the original movie is not that old as it was released in 2016.

The snippet of the movie garnered over 182 million views in one day and has become Disney’s third most viewed teaser in 24 hours with the first being, Fantastic Four: First Step with over 202 million views and The Devil Wears Prada 2‘ with 185 million views.

For the unversed, the upcoming movie is directed by Thomas Kail, who is also an American theatre director and will be released in theatres only on July 10, 2026.
