Jonathan Bailey, who was crowned Sexiest Man Alive in 2025, recently left his fans in tears with an emotional revelation.

The 37-year-old, widely recognised for his iconic role in Bridgerton and now enjoying global success through Netflix and the Wicked film franchise, says he’s fully aware that the spotlight won’t shine forever.

Speaking to Esquire, Bailey reflected on the unpredictable nature of showbusiness, admitting, “You can’t always just feel absolutely thrilled and relaxed and happy… There will be pockets that are really great. It’s about feeling it all.”

The Jurassic World Rebirth star, who appears alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the blockbuster musical films, revealed that he became unexpectedly emotional at the London premiere of Wicked: For Good

He confessed during a chat on Late Night with Seth Meyers that he “couldn’t stop crying” as he watched the film with his family.

“I was there with my school friends and my niece. I looked over and saw her completely taken in by it… and I started crying and I couldn’t stop,” he said.

Bailey, who reprises his role as Fiyero in the sequel, said the moment felt like a “release” after years of hard work from the cast and crew.
