Elsie Hewitt, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Pete Davidson, has opened up about the difficult realities of her pregnancy.
The 29-year-old actress left fans emotional after revealing she has been “in absolute agony” due to hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS).
The Dave star shared that the condition has caused constant pain since the early stages of her pregnancy.
Recently, Hewitt used Instagram Stories to ask for advice and personal accounts from people who have experienced pregnancy with hEDS.
Over the weekend, she expressed her gratitude after receiving “hundreds of messages” from women who had faced similar challenges.
Speaking on social media, she said the outpouring of support had been both overwhelming and comforting.
“I’m learning so much about myself through this experience,” she wrote.
“There are so many symptoms I didn’t realise were connected to Ehlers-Danlos. I’m really, really grateful for everyone’s messages.”
Hewitt has previously shared that she once feared she might be infertile due to severe endometriosis, which led her to undergo surgery in hopes of protecting her chances of having children in the future.
For those unfamiliar, she announced her pregnancy on July 16 with a series of Instagram posts featuring photos with Davidson, a sonogram, and humorous memes referencing Love Island USA and SpongeBob SquarePants.
Elsie Hewitt and Pete Davidson reportedly began dating in early 2025, with their relationship becoming public around March of that year.
Since then, the couple have kept most details private but have occasionally shared glimpses of their bond on social media.
