Ariana Grande hints at third sequel of ‘Wicked’

Ariana Grande may have just teased the possibility of more Wicked movies on the horizon, perhaps a third installment.

On Sunday, Nov. 16, Grande shared a video on Instagram capturing a recent panel with her Wicked: For Good co-star Cynthia Erivo, 38.

At one point, Grande joked about farewell tours, referencing Cher: “If we've learned anything from Cher, we can count on there always being another farewell tour. So I don't think anyone's going anywhere.”

When a moderator asked if that was a confirmation of Wicked 3, Grande laughed alongside Erivo and the audience.

“No, no, I don't know,” she replied, though her playful tone left fans wondering.

Grande explained that she feels a sense of relief with the release of For Good, the second part of the film adaptation of the Broadway musical, as it allows audiences to fully understand her character, Glinda.

“People will finally get to see and know and love,” she said.

The Grammy-winning singer added that the characters will always remain a part of the cast’s hearts.

“They’ve changed our lives irrevocably and permanently, and I’m so grateful for that,” Grande shared. Getting emotional, she added, “It makes me really emotional, I’ll see a little kid and they’ll say, ‘Glinda!’ That’s going to be the rest of our lives.”
