Madison Beer brutally criticises her own song: ‘So boring I could sleep’

Madison Beer isn’t sugar-coating anything when it comes to herself and her passion for singing. 

The Make You Mine singer admits some of her old songs are now so boring for her to perform on stage that she feels like she is ‘basically sleeping’  while performing them.

“There are a couple songs I’d perform and be so bored,” she said. “Like I’m literally sleepwalking.”

The 26-year-old opened up to Rolling Stone, admitting that even though singing is her biggest passion, not every track keeps her alive on stage.

Moreover, the songwriter expresses that she does not wish to stay stuck in the past and is actively moving forward with new projects. 

Apparently, in her words, her new album Locket pushed her so far vocally, especially one particular song, which was so hard to record that it nearly destroyed her voice.

“I didn’t know if I’d be able to speak for a week,” she confessed, and she loved it.

Madison is in high spirits amid the launch of her new album and shows strength against online trolls with a powerful statement saying, “How could I let a tweet destroy my day when I’m performing for 5,000 people who bought tickets and know the music?”

The Reckless singer is yet to announce the full list of tracks from her latest album, but said the album’s name has always been on her mind.
