Tim Burton fans are in for a rare treat as the filmmaker’s new four-part documentary, Tim Burton: Life in the Line, prepares for a theatrical run across Latin America.

Wood Entertainment has sealed a major distribution deal with Cinépolis, bringing the project to 50 cinemas in Mexico and 20 more across Latin America, where each chapter will be screened as a “collective cinematic event.”

Director Tara Wood, known for QT8: The First Eight, called the release more than just a rollout, saying in a statement, “This isn’t just a release, it’s a declaration.”

She added that the documentary honours Burton’s mission to protect imagination “in a world that tries to flatline it,” crediting executive producers Allen Gilmer and Riki Rushing for shielding the project from corporate meddling.

The documentary features Burton’s singular career through the voices of his closest collaborators, including Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Helena Bonham Carter, Danny DeVito, and Michael Keaton.

It also features never-before-seen artwork and personal archives directly from Burton’s private collection, offering a rare glimpse behind one of Hollywood’s most distinctive creative minds.

Tim Burton: Life in the Line premiered at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival to positive reviews, and Wood Entertainment is now pushing international sales at the American Film Market.
