King Charles has arrived in Wales for his big day.
The British monarch turned 77 on November 11 and the day will be filled with honours to mark the big day across UK.
On Friday, the king arrived in Wales with his wife Queen Camilla for a day of royal visits.
The couple will attend a reception at Cyfarthfa Castle near Merthyr Tydfil later on the day.
The guest list for the reception includes individuals like Gavin and Stacey actor Ruth Jones, TikTok creator Lewis Leigh, fashion designer Julien Macdonald, and representatives from the Laura Ashley Foundation.
The event will also feature delegates from royal patronages and local businesses.
Along with the king’s birthday, the historic Cyfarthfa Castle, residence of ironmaster William Crawshay II.
At Westminster Abbey, where Charles was crowned as the king, bells will be rung to mark the big day.
In Green Park, gun salutes will be fired by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery and at the Tower of London by the Honourable Artillery Company.
Interestingly, the king has two birthdays like his mother Queen Elizabeth.
