Sydney Sweeney revealed that she bought something close to her heart.
The 26-year-old, despite immense success in Hollywood, stays connected to her family roots.
On her recent appearance on Stephen Colbert's late-night show, the Anyone But You actress shared her thoughts on family possessions.
"So my family have been living on this lake for five generations. So my grandma was born and raised in this house."
The American actress continued, "And then she had my mom in the house and I grew up in the house."
The Euphoria star added, "The properties have all been next to each other, with all the siblings. Her parents (my great-grandparents) were her neighbors."
However, Sydney disclosed that after her great-grandfather passed away when she was born, her great-grandmother due to financial strain, sold it to another couple, "And when I was born, they passed away and they sold the property to another couple."
Notably, Sydney remained true to her roots and reclaimed it back a few years ago. She further added that growing up in the house running across the backyard to her other cousins was as their own personal playground.
In 2022, the star went and knocked on the door, said, 'I want to buy back my great-grandmother’s house.'
For the unversed, Sydney’s latest movie, the boxing biopic Christy, is currently in theatres.
