Timothée Chalamet, who is in the limelight every other day for dating the beauty mogul, Kylie Jenner was bashed with hate comments for being disappointed for losing award.
The 29-year-old opened up about the disappointment that comes with losing the award as he was nominated for his work as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown but lost to The Brutalist star Adrien Brody.
In the Vogue story, he also revealed that despite being a good actor or a person, when you lose, you feel a bit sore, wishing that it must have been nice to win.
The Dune star also addressed the haters who called him a try-hard despite his best efforts.
The online users went feral and turned to social media confused, wondering what the beau of the famous media personality is crying and ranting about.
One netizen wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “If it was literally any other actor or actress acting like this they would be called a whiny desperate brat but he is the golden child white boy of film twitter so he gets a pass.”
Another X user also added their opinion, “the problem is Hollywood that made him think he is that good.”
Some followers of the actor also supported him as the criticism was too much.
One fan wrote, “He’s a good actor who takes pride in his work. Never understood disingenuous humility that some actors portray. They work hard & it’s not wrong to hope that the work will be seen, enjoyed and (yes!) rewarded. It’s silly, like an athlete NOT wanting to win the match!”
For the unversed, the American actor dedicated five-and-a-half years of his life to the same role for which he didn’t won the award.
