Stranger Things, after becoming an absolute hit series, is all set to return with a bang after a break of three years but for the very last time.
Although the series’ first volume will be available on streaming platform from November 26, fans cannot stop connecting dots in a desperate attempt to understand the fate of the characters.
The show stopped at an unexpected turn when Hawkins was torn apart and the Upside Down started peeking through the gaps.
However, much has occurred since the last part as the trailer revealed that the sub-urban region is under attack, waiting for that one final battle that will end it all.
Most noticeably, Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown) has mastered her supernatural skills as she was seen flying through the fence apart from her telekinetic powers.
But fans continue to enquire about their beloved caretaker Steve Harrington’s fate in the upcoming season which is being dubbed as the most devastating part of the franchise yet.
Many streamers speculate that the cool guy, responsible for looking after the nerdy team, will most probably die while trying to protect the children. It was pointed out in the trailer that instead of the character, his counterpart Jonathan was seen embracing the children.
Moreover, in an earlier teaser Nancy wheeler could be seen washing blood off her hands, sobbing uncontrollably. She seemingly began to develop feelings for him by the fourth season.
On the other hand, Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) remains in a coma while all hell is let loose. Her on-screen love interest Lucas appeared holding Maxine as a demogorgon raced towards the two.
Fans are convinced this will be result in his tragic death while the young girl will make it out alive.
After disappearing on November 6, Will Byers was recovered by his mother played by Winona Ryder and Jim Hopper (police officer starring David Harbour).
Throughout the show, Will was shown to have some sense of dark creatures lingering in close proximity to him, with goosebumps on his neck.
The Duffer Brothers hid hints about the two begin oddly similar to one another, with both being “sensitive” and “different” kids. They struggled to fit in the real world with normal children.
While another victim Barbara couldn’t survive in the parallel world, Will’s return was speculated to have some connection to the antagonist’s wider plan of taking over the entire world.
This was indeed revealed in the first 5 minutes that premiered on November 6, 2025.
The viewers are taken back to 1987 when Will struggled to survive in the other world but ends up getting captivated by the villainous mastermind. He interestingly says: “At long last we can begin… You and I, we are going to do such beautiful things together, William.”
Surprisingly, Liv Morgan made a striking appearance on at the red carpet of series’ premiere, sparking a speculation that she might be part of it. The WWE star, who won Women’s World Championship twice, mostly probably appeared to show support to the cast.
However, she gushed about Millie’s lead role of Eleven: “She is the most iconic. She’d be the best tag team partner because I wouldn’t have to lift a finger.”
The fifth and the final season of Stranger Things will be coming out in Volumes with the first four episodes dropping on November 26. Next three will be available for streaming on Christmas and the much-awaited final episode is releasing on the last day of this year, New Year’s Eve.
On the other hand, an announcement caused both confusion and excitement as Netflix is picking out fans randomly to watch the first episode. This means the episode did not leak anywhere and will be made available on time.
Two weeks before the official release date, the special screening will be reportedly held in a central London theatre without any entry fee for chosen fans.
