Kiera Knightley opens up about daughters’ futures
The actress is a mother of two daughters
Kiera Knightley has shared her hopes for her daughters’ careers.
The Love Actually star is a dotting mother of two girls who she shares with husband James Righton.
In an Interview with The Independent, the actress was asked about parenting two young girls and her hopes for their future.
Speaking of the fears of social media, Keira said “At the moment, they’re not allowed on any of it, which... I don’t know if that’s right. If we can hold out until they’re 16, then I will desperately try and do that.”
The Pride and Prejudice star was asked if there is something she did not have but wishes her daughters would, she had a witty reply.
She answered, “equal pay for equal work”.
“I would really like to see that happen within my lifetime and my children’s lifetime”, she expressed her hopes for a world with equal pay.
Keira has made a career with iconic hit movies and even received an Oscar nomination for her work but she refuses to ask for equal pay.
Explaining her reason to do so, she said “I don’t ask; I find it easier not to.”
