Florence Welch dishes on collaborating with Taylor Swift

Florence Welch is opening up about what her experience was like working with Taylor Swift on a track on her eleventh studio album.

The Florence and the Machine band member sang on the duet Florida!!! with the gobal popstar on the lengthy The Tortured Poets Department.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the English singer revealed that it all began with Taylor reaching out to her and saying that she would love to have her on the song.

The Shake It Out singer said that the Shake It Off hit maker typically has a story around a song, and even had a short story prepped around the track they worked on.

"Taylor was the most open collaborator. She was like, 'Yes. Whatever you want. Do your backing vocals all over it. I want it to be as Florence-y as possible, Go for it,'” Florence stated.

I was like, 'Well, I want to bang a drum, too.' And Taylor was like, 'Yes, go for it.' Getting to watch her construct those harmonies that she does was an amazing experience,” she continued.

Notably, Florence also joined Taylor at the Eras Tour where the two singers performed the upbeat song live.
