Heidi Klum turns NYC to stone with Tom Kaulitz by her side

Heidi Klum, known as the Queen of Halloween, has once again broken all records with her latest jaw-dropping Halloween look.

The 52-year-old supermodel was unrecognisable as she slithered onto the red carpet at her annual New York City Halloween party on Friday, October 31, dressed as the mythological Medusa.

Notably, her costume was nothing short of terrifying, complete with a long tail, writhing snakes for hair, and a petrifying stare that could turn anyone to stone.

She was joined by her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who played the unfortunate Greek soldier frozen by her gaze.

But even “turned to stone,” Kaulitz gushed to PEOPLE that he found Klum’s costume “sexy.”

The Project Runway host returned the compliment, calling her husband’s costume “super hot.”

The elaborate look didn’t happen overnight, as she shared glimpses of the process on Instagram, giving credit to makeup designer Mike Marino, an Emmy winner and three-time Oscar nominee.

This year’s party marked the 25th anniversary of her Halloween extravaganza, which first launched in 2000.

After taking a hiatus during the pandemic, Klum teased snippets of her look online, including a cheeky black-and-white snap days before the event.

Past throwbacks reminded fans of her iconic costumes, from Betty Boop to Fiona and Jessica Rabbit.

Unlike last year’s “cute” E.T.-inspired duo with Kaulitz, 2024’s Medusa was a showstopper.

Heidi Klum has had two ex-husbands. Her first marriage was to Ric Pipino, a hairstylist, from 1997 until their divorce in 2002. 

After that, she married the singer Seal in 2005. Their marriage lasted nearly a decade before they finalised their divorce in 2014.
