While interviewing for the ELLE UK, the 36-years-old got candid with fellow actress Naomi Ackie as she disclosed her struggles in Hollywood.
The girlfriend of Harry Styles, who is a former member of the band One Direction revealed how being of black person gets you treated differently.
The American actress explained how the entertainment industry treats everyone harshly based on their colors, “for women of color and anyone who's not traditionally a leading woman.”
Zoë gushed about the competitiveness that comes with being a black woman and the lack of opportunities that are available to you.
She continued further about how she feels unsure about being in the industry because her parents, father being the music icon, Lenny Kravitz and mother, who is an actress, Lisa Bonet are the reason she is there and feels privileged.
“We have to be thankful and apologise.” The director of the movie Blink Twice encouraged everyone as she concluded.
Notably, the actress has been making headlines with her lover, as she is sighted with him very frequently, leaving studio and having dinner dates.
