Will Netflix series ‘Selena’ reveal the mystery behind Tejano icon’s murder?

Streaming giant Netflix is to drop a series on the life of the late Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla this December and while giving an insight into Selena’s life, the series will unveil the mystery behind her death.

Selena Quintanilla, who rose to fame at a very young age, broke down the barriers of both Spanish-English music with her niche of Tejano music. She was murdered by her fan club manager Yolanda Salvidar at the age of 23.

Although the story has been told many times, the new series will take a closer look at the singer’s life. In 2018, Netflix reported the story is developed with the narrative of Selena’s family to remain undisguised.

It will cover the Latino icon’s familial relationships, her one-of-a-kind fashion style, and her marriage with Chris Perez and the mystery behind her tragic death.

The trailer of 'Selena' was released on Monday and the series would be available on Netflix by December 4.
