Justin Bieber hints at ‘painful’ past relationship with Selena Gomez

American singer Justin Bieber is known for his infamous past, especially in the love department.

However, as the Baby hit maker now settles well into a life filled with love, stability and confidence, he looked back at his ‘painful’ past he had in his former relationships.

The trailer of his new documentary, Justin Bieber: Next Chapter showed him discuss his marriage with supermodel Hailey Baldwin and how he feels more confident in it than he did with his ex-partners.

“There’s a lot more confidence in my relationships. There were times where I was really like, ‘Man, is this pain ever going to go away?’” said Bieber.

While the singer refrained from taking names, he was in a recurrent relationship with singer Selena Gomez from 2010 to 2018.

“Now I just have hope in my relationship with God. That’s not based on fear, that’s not based on my past. It’s based on who I truly am,” he said.
