The animosity between the Khans of Bollywood- Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir- has repeatedly stirred up in the news for as long as one could remember.

After spending years in the fraternity, the actors may be cordial now, but there was time when none of them thought twice before taking a jibe at the other one.

The spat between these Bollywood Khans flared up back in 2004 when Kajol and Shah Rukh appeared on the first ever season of Indian talk show Koffee with Karan.

In one of the segments during the interview, host and producer Karan Johar asked Shah Rukh what messaged would the actor like to give Aamir Khan’s fans. Shah Rukh had replied, “Guys, you got to find an icon that you can look up to.” When asked what he would tell the fans of Salman Khan, he said, “God bless you.”

Aamir Khan as well, got back at Shah Rukh when the actor wrote a personal blog in 2008. In it, the star wrote, “I’m sitting under a tree, on the edge of a valley, approximately 5000 feet above sea level... Ammi, Ira and Junaid are by my side and we are in the middle of one of our favourite board games. Shah Rukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?”

Aamir’s blog earned him the wrath of Shah Rukh’s fans who protested against the disrespect.

Upon asking Shah Rukh over his views about Aamir Khan’s insensitive comment, the actor said, “I have never bothered about it because I also say a lot of things in fun and I think I am also may be stressing somebody else out. I don’t get stressed when friends pass comments like this. Actually I enjoyed it.”

Now that all of it is in the past, the two actors are really amicable and extend blessings and wish each other luck over their upcoming projects.

Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic release, DDLJ, completed 25 years this week and Aamir Khan praised the movie with a beautiful set of words.

“A hero who discovers his conscience, a heroine who finds her voice, a villain who has a change of heart, DDLJ appealed to the kinder, nicer, higher self within all of us. 25 years of a film that continues to charm the world. Thank you Adi, Kajol, Shahrukh, and the entire team of DDLJ,” Aamir tweeted
