Kanye West’s 2022 album Donda 2 has seemingly been submitted for the upcoming Grammys, and netizens are blasting the rapper for it.
The eleventh studio album is considered one of the Runaway rapper’s worst works yet, but since it was made available for streaming on various platforms earlier this year, the album became eligible for the prestigious award.
As per the category, the 24-time Grammy winner appears to be eyeing the “Best Rap Album” title with the record in 2026.
The 18-track album features big names like Migos, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Future and Jack Harlow among others.
However, internet users have pointed out that the record has heavy use of Artificial Intelligence, on songs such as Pablo, Happy, which makes it lose credibility.
“Nearly entire AI album btw,” one netizen wrote on X (previously Twitter), while another added, “Wow an album that wasn’t finished and was finished with AI yeah I’m so out.”
Another referenced West’s name change to Ye, writing, “is the ye-ai gonna accept the award for him?” while a fourth internet user noted, “2022 album ruined with ai and re-released 3 years later.”
Yeezy, which is a Fashion brand and record label was founded by Ye, better known as Kanye West, in August 2013.
Despite facing recent setbacks due to Ye’s controversial behaviour, the brand is still active and was incorporated as a subsidiary of Yeezy LLC.
