Hayley Williams has name-dropped the person she referred to in one of her songs, and singer she was calling out is a controversial figure.
The Paramore frontwoman has recently put out her third solo album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, the title track of which contains the lyric, "I'll be the biggest star at this racist country singer’s bar."
In an interview promoting the album at New York Times' Popcast, the interviewer asks her about the line, adding that it could be a couple people, and not at all pushing the singer to name names.
However, Hayley gets straight to the point saying that it could be a couple but, "I’m always talking about Morgan Wallen. I don't give a s**, find me at Whole Foods b*ch. I don't care. I just don't care."
As it turns out, Morgan was filmed saying a racial slur in 2021 which he later apologised for in a statement.
Meanwhile the Still Into You singer stated that she is "never not ready to scream at the top of my lungs about racial issues."
Notably, Hayley also added that racial issues get her fired up because of their vast impact on various different things.
Hayley has been vocal about her struggle with depression, which is why she briefly took a break from the band Paramore in 2015.
