Halsey opens up on the real motivation behind her shaved head

While Halsey is known for her strikingly contrasting styling choices, the singer left fans in shock after she unveiled her brand new buzzed up-do. 

The singer chose to announce the news both on Instagram as well as Twitter with two adorable captions that read "Just in time 4 beanie weather” and "I love be bald."

For the unversed, Halsey unveiled her new look almost a day ago and no sooner than she did, did her comment section flood with praise, adoration and downright vibing comments by celebrities like Demi Lovato and even Katy Perry.

While the social media stir has been ongoing since yesterday, the singer only unveiled her true motivations behind going for such a massive chop when a fan asked, "Did you go bald for a specific reason like the TV show or just felt like it?"

The Eastside singer clarified her intentions by writing, "I was growing it out for so long and I told myself I wouldn’t shave it till I saw what it was like healthy and long and then I saw it healthy and long and said, ‘Mm this is nice but I miss bald and then so I did it!’"
