Marvel stars assemble for Kamala Harris’s fundraiser, compare Trump to Thanos

Several Marvel stars teamed up to show their support for democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris through her Zoom fundraiser.

An IGTV video was shared on Instagram by Robert Downey Jr which featured the entire Avengers cast, united for Kamala Harris’s virtual fundraiser on Zoom. The attendees included Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Scarlett Johansonn, Zoe Saldana and Chris Evans.

Harris’s husband was also part of the fundraising event which mocked and compared President Trump to super-villain Thanos. Harris went on to draw similarities among themes of the campaign and Avengers movies. 

She stated, “We all know honor and decency matters, and it matters whether you are saving the universe from Thanos or fighting for the soul of our nation… If the Avengers can assemble from across the galaxy then the American people can get together from wherever we are, whoever we voted for in the last election, and whatever language our grandmother spoke, and come together to get our country on the right track”.

The virtual event was more about motivating the audience to cast their vote towards the end, Robert Downey made an appearance as a surprise guest and answered some of the hardest trivia questions.
