Kirstie Alley in hot water for supporting Donald Trump in US elections

US actress and model Kirstie Alley has announced that she will be voting for President Donald Trump in upcoming US elections.

The 69-year-old former Celebrity Big Brother star announced this on Twitter on Sunday.

She tweeted, “I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician.”

Kirstie Alley further said, “I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason. He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it.”

Later, she revealed that she faced a storm of backlash for supporting Donald Trump.

However, she defended her decision saying “Stick to your guns. Not always easy to be under fire but always easier than going against your own integrity. & JUST REMEMBER: if it takes thousands to try & bring u down, you must be one powerful Mfer Love wins.”

This is not the first Alley has publicly expressed her support for Donald Trump. She, in March earlier this year, extended gratitude to the president for handling the coronavirus pandemic at a time when he was receiving widespread criticism.
