Pusha T reflected on his musical collaborations with Ye, who formerly went by Kanye West, and made a decisive remark about any future tracks together.
The Clipse rapper was also signed to the Runaway rapper’s label GOOD Music, even serving as its President for a while before taking his leave from the prestigious role in 2022.
In an interview with The Guardian, the Nosetalgia rapper was asked to reminisce on some of the good times he had with the Flashing Lights singer.
“Just as a rap aficionado, well, being there was special! Creating So Appalled and New God Flow were some of my favourite memories. The Good Friday series, that was crazy, too. The albums I dropped during that time, like Daytona and It’s Almost Dry, they are very, very strong offerings,” he recalled.
After Pusha was asked about a future partnership, the 48-year-old bluntly stated, “Yeah, that’s in the past. That’s definitely in the past.”
The Virginia native acknowledged that him and Ye have created great music together, but that they could do it again was not a possibility, even though the latter has confessed to missing their friendship in a social media post not too long ago.
Ye and Pusha have collaborated on several tracks, including Mercy and New God Flow, both released in 2012.
