Despite recent signs of a thaw between Prince Harry and King Charles, a royal expert has warned that the feud between the Sussexes and the royal family is far from resolved.
Reports emerged that aides from both sides met privately in what many described as tentative "peace talks", but not everyone is optimistic about a lasting reconciliation.
Royal author Valentine Lowe, speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, cautioned that tensions remain.
"I don't think we're in another mini battle, but I certainly don't think war's ended. I mean, as long as Harry's got breath in his body, war is likely to continue," he said.
Lowe suggested that the meeting between aides was less about a full reconciliation and more about cooling public tensions and avoiding headlines when Harry’s activities overlap with other royals.
"It was trying to open up lines of communication so that sort of thing doesn't happen so often," he explained.
Royal correspondent Sarah Hewson agreed, noting that there has been no indication that Harry’s relationship with his father has meaningfully improved.
"On his previous visits, there hasn't been any kind of meeting with his father," she said.
"The last time he was able to see his father was just after the King's cancer diagnosis, and that meeting lasted what, 30 or 40 minutes? I think it would be a very positive step if we can see more between father and son."
