Sydney Sweeney recalls family walking out of her show premiere

Sydney Sweeney has recalled an awkward moment involving her family for her breakout role in the teen drama.

The 27-year-old actress rose to fame through the hit HBO series, Euphoria, where she is best known for her portrayal of Cassie Howard.

The show explores intense themes such as addiction, mental health, and mature topics.

Speaking during an earlier appearance on NBC’s Sunday Today, Sweeney revealed that her dad and grandfather were shocked after viewing the show.

She explained that her father had organised a party for the series without informing her beforehand.

Moreover, he also invited her grandparents along, unaware of how graphic and emotionally intense the content would be.

“They didn’t know what they were walking into,” she admitted. “They ended up turning it off and leaving. It was a bit of a shock.”

The White Lotus actress noted that her grandmother handled it much better.

“She’s amazing,” the actress said. “She’s now one of my biggest supporters and even appears as an extra on some of my sets.”
