Katy Perry, who is currently headlining her The Lifetimes Tour, has been called out for mimicking Beyonce during her recent concert.
While the 40-year-old singer previously called out the Queen Bey her inspiration, fans speculate that the songstress is “copying” her for garnering attention.
During her musicale in San Francisco, the Dark Horse hitmaker decided to fly above the crowd on a robotic “dragon.” The machinery lost its balance, giving Katy a slight jerk mid-air.
Although the fan-filmed footage worried her admirers, the online community began comparing the incident to Beyonce’s flying car malfunction.
One of the X users mocked the Grammy winner, pointing out: “She wants to be Beyonce so bad.”
Another netizen remarked that the situation is “similar to the Beyonce tour and incident.”
While a third one hopes that “she gets rid of these gimmicks and goes back to her roots.”
Many expressed concerns for both the stars as they questioned the safety of using props without proper training of the performers.
A worried fan penned down, insisting that “Final Destination is REAL” as several artists have been through this similar situation. “First Beyonce, now Katy, who’s next Drake?” they added.
It is to be noted that a similar controversy emerged when the E.T crooner almost fell out of a sphere during a show.
The videos received similar remarks about the songstress that after seeing the Halo hitmaker “going viral" for a mishap she "had to act quick.”
