Beyoncé fans trying to return home were plagued by fear and numerous injuries after a stampede broke out at a nearby train station this week in Georgia.
A startling crush occurred at the Vine City Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Station early on July 15 as concertgoers were departing the last performance of Beyoncé's run of Cowboy Carter shows at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
According to reports, 11 people were hurt in the stampede that happened on an escalator that descended into the station.
MARTA officials have not yet responded to Daily Mail request for comment.
The senior director of communications, Stephany Fisher, said on Friday that 11 people were hurt on an escalator at Vine City Station shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 15, as they were leaving the Beyoncé concert at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.
“One person suffered a broken ankle, seven people were transported to the hospital with cuts and scrapes, and one person declined transport,” she continued. “Two people requested medical assistance after reaching their destinations.”
Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy was awarded her first Grammy alongside her mother at the age of 9 for the best video Brown Skin Girl. She became the second-youngest winner in the history of music industry awards.
