Taylor Russell made a shocking move during the filming of Michael B. Jordan’s upcoming film The Crown Affair, sparking fan reactions.

The 31-year-old actress exited her role as the insurance investigator over creative differences, prompting the MGM studio to recast her without disrupting the production schedule.

Russell was to star alongside Michael B. Jordan, director and lead actor of his reimagining of The Thomas Crown Affair.

The sudden decision by the Bones and All actress left her fans worried, with some commenting. “Hopefully, nothing more serious than some disagreements.”

Another wrote, “Wonder what the creative differences were over.”

Meanwhile, Russell has joined the cast of an upcoming Korean thriller, Hope, by Na Hong-Jin, opposite Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander and Hoyeon.

She’s also in talks for Sony and 3000 Pictures remake of Single White Females, with Jenna Ortega.

Russell had her breakthrough role in Escape Room and Luca Guadagnino’s Bones and All, winning the Marcello Mastroianni Award at the 2022 Venice Film Festival.

The Thomas Crown Affair reboot’s cast lineup includes Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbaek, and Aiysha Hart.

The movie is scheduled to be released on March 5, 2027.
