Kanye West, who performed for 70,000s fan in China, seemingly failed to consider the complaints of the concertgoers.
Although the attendees at Shanghai demanded a refund after the 48-year-old singer arrived 40 minutes late, Kanye issued a statement expressing his gratitude.
Ye turned to his X (formerly Twitter) to thank his “fans in China and the Chinese government.”
In the same post, he gushed about the “amazing” energy of the crowd. He added: “Love all of you forever… Can’t wait till the next show.”
However, fan-filmed footages from the concert paint a grim picture as many reportedly chanted “refund” and were drenched due to unexpected weather condition.
On the contrary, the return to Shanghai was considered historic by the netizens as they look forward to his show in other locations.
Nearly thousands of admirers responded to Kanye’s post where one of the users was hopeful to see the rapper perform in “Spain.”
Another music lover cannot wait for “the moment [Ye] grab a microphone.”
While one netizen stated that “most of Chinese fans think that the show was unsatisfactory,” they were instantly corrected.
His die-hard fans jumped to his defence: “Just dissatisfied with the organizers, they ruined the show.”
This came after the fashion mogul’s rep denied the sexual assault claims that were levelled against him by a former worker.
His assistant Lauren Pisciotta alleged that the rapper “groped” her regularly, and demanded “she wear tight fitting clothing.”
She also claimed being forced by Ye to watch him “perform sexual acts with other woman.”
