American rapper Ye has been denied entry to Australia due to controversial lyrics of his song Heil Hitler later named Hallelujah.
The third song from Kanye's 16th studio album In a Perfect World was independently released on May 08, 2025.
Ye, 48, who is married to Aussie artichect Bianca Censori released his single Hallelujah on 80th anniversary of Nazi defeat in World War II which received criticism due to controversial lyrics that were deemed in support of Nazism.
Tony Burke, Australian Minister for Immigration, has revealed the development regarding the Carnival hitmaker while talking on the matter of visa cancellation.
"He's been a frequent visitor to Australia for a long time, his family is here, and he's made a lot of offensive comments. With Heil Hitler song, he no longer has a valid visa in Australia,” minister told the ABC.
Burke added: “It wasn't for public advocacy, the visa, but we cancelled anyway, and that'd be Kanye West.”
"It wasn't a visa for the purpose of concerts. You're going to have a song and promote that sort of Nazism, we don't need that in Australia," official concluded on 24 times Grammy award winner's visa rejection.
The Minister for Immigration clarified the re-evaluation process to restore Kanye’s visa status is subject to officials' assessment upon his request.
