The legendary English footballer, who recently got honoured with the knighthood, was rushed to the hospital after being left in “unbearable” pain.
David’s wife Victoria shared a picture of the athlete with a blue sling on his right arm as he is resting in the hospital bed while he recovers.
The picture was shared with the message “Get well soon daddy.”.
Another picture was shared of David’s hand that had a friendship bracelet on that read “Get well soon”.
According to Daily Mail, David had an operation to repair his wrist after breaking it during an England game 22 years ago.
The former English captain broke his wrist in 2003 in a match against South Africa in Durban.
The source said the wrist had pain after more than two decades as scans showed that there was a screw embedded in the wrist which was meant to have dissolved.
This incident comes after the couple’s distanced son, Brooklyn, wished David’s mother birthday on his Instagram.
