American actor and film producer Brad Pitt shares major updates about his acting career that delighted fans.
The 61-year-old has confirmed that he will make a comeback on Netflix with reprising his role as ‘Cliff Booth’ from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in a new film.
In the character of ‘Cliff’, Pitt acted as a loyal stuntman for Leonardo DiCaprio's alter ego. His acting was much appreciated by fans when the film debuted.
The Hollywood icon’s performance earned him his first Oscar and redefined late-career stardom.
The two-time Academy Award winner is once again teaming up with cinematic titans for a bold new entry.
Titled "The Adventures of Cliff Booth", the film is being described as an “episode” rather than a direct sequel to Tarantino’s 2019 film, which famously reimagined 1969 Los Angeles in the shadow of the Manson Family murders.
The World War Z actor confirmed this news himself during the premiere of his upcoming movie F1.
Speaking to Deadline, Pitt shared: “This is something Quentin Tarantino wrote. It's an episode, not really a sequel, of the character from Once Upon a Time.”
He added, “He didn't want to direct it at this point, so our friend David Fincher stepped in. We're gonna start in July, it's gonna be really fun.”
The new film will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker David Fincher, known for Zodiac, Gone Girl, and The Social Network. While Tarantino has opted not to direct the film, he remains creatively involved as the screenwriter.
With a reported production budget of US$200 million, The Adventures of Cliff Booth is set to be one of the most expensive streaming originals in Netflix’s history.
Alongside Brad Pitt, the star-studded cast of The Adventures of Cliff Booth includes Elizabeth Debicki, Carla Gugino, Scott Caan, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
