Jeff Bezos touch down Venice in Helicopter ahead of his marriage to Lauren Sánchez

The Amazon founder and multi-billionaire, Jeff Bezos, is officially getting married this month to American journalist and licensed pilot, Lauren Sánchez, in extravagant wedding festivities.

Ahead of their wedding, the tech mogul made a sky-high, stylish entrance in Venice, Italy, on Wednesday, June 25.

The helicopter flew from Venice on Wednesday at midday, as per local time, and landed on Bezos’ yacht’s support ship, called the Abeona, swaying next to his yacht, Koru, anchored just off the coast of Croatia.

The helicopter then took off with the 61-year-old founder and returned to Venice.

The chopper landed on the Venice Lido, known for hosting the city's annual Venice Film Festival.

According to a source revealed to PEOPLE, the wedding festivities are scheduled over multiple days. The guest welcome night will be held at the Madonna dell'Orto church on June 26.

The billionaire power duo is expected to marry in a black-tie wedding ceremony on June 27.

The wedding is expected to be held at the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore off Venice, transformed by the Giorgio Cini Foundation into an event space.

How much will Jeff Bezos' wedding cost?

Luca Zaia, president of the Veneto regional government that comprises Venice, told reporters on Tuesday that the Bezos-Sánchez three-day wedding event could cost between approximately $64 million and $76 million.

Moreover, around 90 private jets are expected to land at local airports this week, carrying A-listers attending the "wedding of the century," which is estimated to cost Bezos between 40 and 48 million euros ($46–$56 million).
