Johnny Depp, who is notable for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean film series, finally spoke about his past relationship with Amber Heard.
The Golden Globe Award winner and the 39-year-old actress called it quits in 2016 which was followed by a defamation case between the two.
During a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Johnny labelled himself a “sucker” for being in love with the Aquaman star.
Taking himself as an instance, the Wonka actor shared a life lesson for those who “look in a person’s eye and see some sadness,” feeling compelled to “help that person.”
According to Johnny, these people will “start to give you an understanding of what that malaise, that perturbance was in their eyes.”
He further confirmed that “no good deed goes unpunished,” seemingly regretting his past.
The Edward Scissorhands star and his ex-wife decided to go separate ways after facing irreconcilable difference in their marriage.
Amber requested for a restraining order along with the petition to divorce, accusing her spouse of committing domestic violence.
In 2018, the former couple decided a $7 million divorce settlement which was followed by a defamation case by the Alice in Wonderland actress.
After a six-week public trial, the verdict declared the Justice League actress liable of defamation on all three counts in relation to 2018’s op-ed. She was compelled by the court to pay $10.35 million.
