Fat Joe lands in legal troubles over alleged assault

Fat Joe, Grammy-nominated rapper, is charged with a $20 million federal lawsuit filed by his former hype man, Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, accusing him the years of sexual assault.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court Southern District of New York, also includes Dixon’s allegations of “coercive labour exploitation, financial fraud, sexual manipulation, violent intimidation, and psychological coercion.”

Dixon also brings grisly details to the light, claiming he was intimidatingly forced into over 4,000 sexual acts over a 16-year period.

The hip-hop star was also involved in trafficking and sexual acts with minor girls as young as 15.

Most disturbingly is the claim that all these harrowing sexual exploitations occurred with the knowledge of Fat Joe’s associates and in corporate-owned properties, yachts and mansions.

Dixon is now seeking $20 million in compensatory damages.

In the backdrop of the lawsuit, the American rapper has come to fore and denied these allegations, calling it an act of vengeance.

Fat Joe’s lawyer Joe Tacopina in a statement to The Independent, called these claims “complete fabrications”.

He continued: “The lawsuit filed by Tyrone Blackburn and Terrance Dixon is a blatant act of retaliation.”

Dixon’s claims have come months after Joe sued his former hype man for slandering his reputation through unproven sexual allegations.

This lawsuit is going to be one of the most serious legal battles in the music industry.
