Two years ago in summer 2023, the world was grappled by a shocking disaster that is still being talked about with new information coming out every other day.
A submersible carrying 5 passengers was lost in the Atlantic which was on its journey to see the Titanic wreckage, which sunk in 1912.
It was later revealed that the sub had imploded 90 minutes into its journey, killing all five passengers.
The new Netflix documentary on the incident and the rescue mission titled Titan: The OceanGate Disaster was released on June 6, nearly 2 years after the disaster happened, which has left the viewers shocked.
A X user wrote “The Netflix documentary about Oceangate Titan was excellent. Heavy on the engineering of the submersible. When ego and obsession go unchecked, you get what happened to Stockton Rush and his passengers.”
Another talked about the submersible’s past successful missions saying “Starting #TitanNetflix and I’m STILL surprised there were multiple successful dives before that implosion”.
The Titan submersible is believed to have been imploded because of a catastrophic failure of the carbon fiber hull and the immense water pressure.
