Halle Berry, who is known for her role in X-Men, broke the norm as she approved her daughter’s life-changing decision.
During her appearance on the Today show, the 58-year-old actress got candid about her daughter's future.
The little girl is looking forward to move out for her college studies within a year.
Halle gushed about herself that she is not “one of these moms” who feel their children shouldn’t leave.
However, the Catwoman actress admitted she will worry “of course.”
She is cheering on Nahla, “dying to see who she’s gonna be and what she’s gonna do and what she’ll discover.”
The Monster’s Ball actress is her girl’s biggest supporter as she has taught her to “have a career if you want.”
The actress also assured her that she can achieve all of her dreams “just maybe not all at the same time.”
Halle encouraged all the mothers to maintain a life for themselves, “because these kids will grow up and move on.”
The Academy Award winner shares the 17-year-old with her former partner Gabriel Aubry, whom she dated for five years.
The two fought each other for years to get custody of their daughter Nahla, specifically when The Call star planned on moving to France to live with her family.
She is also the mother of a son Maceo, whom she had with her ex-husband Olivier Martinez.
