Blackpink’s Lisa to star in new documentary

A documentary on Kpop idol Lisa from hit girl group Blackpink is under production.

Sony Music Vision revealed during the company’s inaugural content showcase that they are working on a project in partnership with Lloud Co/RCA Records and Tremolo Productions.

The film will follow Lalisa Manoban, famously known by her stage name Lisa, as she venture into her solo music career after Blackpink.

The documentary will be directed by Sue Kim.

“I really tried to impress upon Lisa how much not just me – but I think the world – wants to see off-stage Lisa. She loves to refer to herself as, ‘I’m just a normal girl from Thailand.’ And when you meet her, she actually is.”, the director told The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie will give Lisa’s fans an “exclusive access to Lisa with an in-depth look at the artist’s groundbreaking career and creative vision outside of the world-renowned group, Blackpink”.

Blackpink went on hiatus and the members pursued solo routes, as Lisa released her solo album Alter Ego, performed at Coachella and starred in the hit series The White Lotus.

Which Blackpink member is not Korean?

Jisoo and Jennie were born in Korea meanwhile Rose was born in New Zealand and Lisa comes from Thailand.
