Meghan Markle is facing brutal backlash online after admitting she doesn't know how to describe herself professionally anymore, and one commentator says that’s because she’s trying too hard to be something she’s not.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, told Fast Company that “if I had to write a résumé, I don't know what I would call myself,” hinting at how multifaceted her post-royal chapter has become. Meghan added, “I believe all the notes I am playing are part of the same song.”
But royal commentator Esther Krakue isn’t buying it and she’s not holding back.
“You're hot. You married a prince. Give us the tea. That’s all we need from her,” Krakue told The Sun, mocking Meghan’s efforts to brand herself as a visionary founder and role model.
Krakue argues these projects are low-risk due to Meghan’s privileged position.
“She’s not a chemist. She’s not a physicist. And that’s fine. Sometimes it’s OK to just be pretty and have good fortune in life and ride that wave,” she added.
While Krakue said she “wishes Meghan every success,” she added that the Duchess comes off as out of touch.
“She has also never had to write a resume, let’s be honest. The lens through which she views the world is very peculiar.”
