Margot Robbie did not leave the set of Greta Gerwig’s most prominent film, Barbie, empty handed and took the inspiration from one of the set designs from the movie into her personal space.
The Australian actress opened up the doors of her office in Los Angeles, associated with the production company she co-founded with her husband, Tom Ackerley and two of her friends, LuckyChap Entertainment.
In an interview with Architectural Digest the four-time Golden Globe winner noted of the familiar chairs, “The chairs are actually in the Barbie movie when you’re in the Mattel CEO office, and all the Mattel guys are sitting around on the pink chairs.”
The Wolf of Wall Street actress continued, “We just had them reupholstered, because at the end of the movie — I mean, they were quite expensive, actually — I was like, ‘Wait, what’s going to happen to these chairs?’” since the seat was not its signature pink colour.
Margot mentioned that she collaborated with Scarlett Hessian, a London-based interior designer, to make the chair go well with the aesthetic of her office, which may be described as modern-inspired.
The chair had a rustic orange checkered fabric on it, matching the rug and table they were around.
Yes, Margot Robbie is currently working on the Emerald Fennell film, Wuthering Heights, slated for release in 2026.
