Prince William reveals Princess Charlotte's hidden talent during royal event

Prince William has revealed that Princess Charlotte has taken up a new sporty hobby, and she's already showing a competitive edge. 

During a candid conversation at an investiture ceremony on Tuesday, the Prince of Wales proudly shared that his 10-year-old daughter is currently focusing on running, particularly the 400m and hurdles.

Speaking to Olympic gold medalist Keely Hodgkinson, William mentioned that Charlotte had even watched the athlete’s performance at the Paris Olympics. 

"The prince told me his daughter is doing the 400m at the minute and the hurdles and that she did watch me in Paris," Hodgkinson told PA news agency. 

"He remembered me winning and said he wished he could have been there to see it himself."

The 23-year-old athlete was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Prince William in recognition of her gold medal win and being named 2024 Sports Personality of the Year. 

Hodgkinson, who has been recovering from a hamstring tear since February, said it was "really nice" to be honoured and described the ceremony as "an amazing experience."

Looking ahead, Hodgkinson shared that she’s excited to return to competition at the Stockholm Diamond League meeting in June. 

"The hamstring progressed nicely and we’ve had no problems so far, which is really positive. We're on track and I’m looking forward to opening my season soon," she said.
