Kanye West releases track ‘Heil Hitler’; gets banned

Controversial rapper Kanye West has released a new track called Heil Hitler, which has not had the glad welcome that he had expected.

Despite him having teased the song on social media for weeks, it amounted to little success on streaming platforms.

He ended up releasing the song on Soundcloud on Thursday, but it was taken down only a day later.

West then took to X to comment on the removal, writing, “‘Heil Hitler’ by Ye has been banned by all digital streaming platforms.”

The rapper went on to compare his track to Randy Newman’s song Rednecks which proved controversial for using an epithet for Black people as a commentary on racism.

“‘Rednecks’ by Randy Newman remains streamable,” remarked West. “They’re literally keeping the n****** down.”

The lyrics of Heil Hitler are not an improvement upon the title, including rageful lines against his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, “With all this money and fame, I still can’t get my kids back / With all this money and fame I still can’t see my children.”

He expresses his anger that he “became a Nazi, yet b****, I’m the villain,” going on to end with a sample from a Hitler speech.
