Justin Baldoni, who is accused of sexually harassing Blake Lively, and his business partner Steve Sarowitz made a shocking decision for their Wayfarer Foundation.
The 41-year-old director and Steve are closing the doors of the welfare branch of the organisation forever.
On May 2, the billionaire entrepreneur released a statement on Instagram declaring that the board of directors have reached a unanimous decision to “begin the process of sunsetting the foundation.”
The team of the organisation will continue to “honor all of our current grant commitments as we carefully wind down operations over the next several weeks.”
He noted that their team will make sure “all matters are concluded with care and attention.”
However, the reason for the particular action has not been disclosed to the general public.
Justin has been part of the establishment since its opening in 2016 as the board member. The group aimed at creating “a future peaceful world civilization.”
The filmmaker’s venture Skid Row Carnival of Love also joined hands with Wayfarer in order to lift up people who are homeless in Downtown Los Angeles.
The move fuelled a speculation that the foundation’s closure might have links to the Jane the Virgin actor’s ongoing legal battle with Blake Lively.
In December 2024, the Gossip Girl alum filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the It Ends With Us director, accusing him of starting a smear campaign against her.
Justin denied all the allegations and responded back with a defamation lawsuit against the Hollywood A-list actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds.
He also sued The New York Times for $250 million for libel, naming nine other co-plantiffs.
