Princess Charlotte may only be 10, but she’s already winning hearts, and royal watchers say she’s taking after her mother in more ways than one.

At the 80th anniversary VE Day celebrations, a surprise public appearance by the Wales children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, delighted fans.

But it was Charlotte who stole the spotlight, according to body language expert Judi James. “Charlotte now perfectly mirrors her mother's signals of charm, elegance and smiles of delight,” James told Express.co.uk, noting Charlotte’s natural ease during her interactions with veterans.

In one especially touching moment, Charlotte was seen leaning in with genuine interest as Princess Kate spoke to a veteran, eagerly examining the photographs he shared.

“She looked totally understanding and committed to the values of royal life,” said James.

The children joined senior royals, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Princess Anne, for a military procession at Buckingham Palace on Monday, followed by a balcony appearance to view a patriotic flypast.

The commemorations kicked off with Timothy Spall delivering Winston Churchill’s iconic 1945 speech, honoring the Allied victory in Europe.

With more events planned through the week, Buckingham Palace emphasized the importance of keeping focus on the veterans and the historic milestone.

A royal aide added: “This is a week of proud remembrance, a time for full hearts, not distractions.”

When was Princess Charlotte born?

Charlotte, full name Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, is the younger sister to Prince George, 11, and older sister to Prince Louis, seven.

She was born at 8:34 a.m. at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, and just hours later, a glowing Kate and William stepped out on the Lindo Wing steps to introduce their new daughter to the world.

At the time, Kensington Palace released a statement thanking the public for their “warm wishes” and extended gratitude to hospital staff for their care.
